Letting Nature Speak to You
Nature speaks directly to our souls. When we “lose” ourselves in the beauty of creation, we gain a deep wellness and goodness that is beyond words.
You know how being in and witnessing the beauty of nature, has a way of bringing out the best in us? Kind of like being with your good friends/good people? Recently, I took a trip from where I live in Washington state, to visit my best friend, Scott, in Colorado—where I received the beautiful blessing of both!
While I was there, we camped near Montrose, went on a four-wheel drive adventure over Imogene Pass and to Yankee Boy Basin, hiked around and witnessed the breathtaking beauty at the Black Canyon of Gunnison National Park, and trekked Castlewood Canyon State Park. It was beyond words epic! My soul is filled, mind at ease, and spirit gladdened.
With that in mind, I thought it’d be fun to share with y’all some of my favorite pictures from our adventures. I invite you to drink them in, dwell with them, let the images speak to you, and please share your experience, thoughts, and beyond in the comments. I’ll number them so you can be specific if you want, and make an occasional comment of my own. Enjoy!

To me, the quilted clouds, red rocks, and green trees are poetry celebrating the rich abundance and goodness of life.

The Milky Way is the cloudy part.
I’d never seen the Milky Way in the sky before. It blows my mind to ponder how massive it is, and that while it is but one of the galaxies in the universe, it holds (estimated) more than 100 BILLION stars and planets. I was mesmerized.
